According to Stuart Cordish, Maryland withholding for nonresident individuals will increase effective 6/1/2012 due to income tax rate increases brought about during the Special Session.
The rate of withholding for nonresident individual sellers will increase from 6.75% to 7% effective June 1, 2012. The rate of 8.25% for nonresident entity sellers remains unchanged.
